Ken is currently the Executive Director of Grenfell’s public engagement hub, GO Engagement, as well as a PhD Candidate in the Department of Geography. He is interested in territorial innovation models (TIMs) and their application to rural areas of this province. These models include clusters, regional innovation systems, the triple helix, innovative milieu and industrial districts. Typically these models have had an urban focus, with most suggesting innovation in rural regions is limited or non-existent. He is interested in exploring what can be learned from the application of TIMs to rural places. He is also interested in the application of evolutionary economic geography to rural. My project proposal is currently in progress.
