Sarah is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Guelph, in the Department of Geography, Environment, and Geomatics. Sarah received her PhD from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and holds a MSc degree in Rural Planning from the University of Guelph. She is a registered professional planner with OPPI and CIP.  Her current dissertation work pertains to exploring the role of capacity and governance for source water protection in rural regions in Ontario. She has served as Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador’s Water Liaison and has been involved in a wide range of research projects with Memorial University on topics related to regional planning and development, and sustainable rural drinking water systems. Sarah has also worked for the the Region of York- Forestry, the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters with the Bring Back the Salmon program.
