• Elmaddin Bayramov is a Master of Arts in the Environmental Policy Institue of Grenfell Campus Memorial University, where he concentrated on the role of government agencies (and their policies) as one of the key actors within the regional innovation system in western Newfoundland.
• Mostaem Billah, Master of Arts in Geography, Memorial University. He researched the economic activities and the environment concern the growing international problem of electronic waste or ‘e-waste’.
• Vincent Kuuteryiri Chireh, Master of Arts in Environmental Policy, Grenfell Campus, Memorial University. His research explored regional approaches to drinking water management.
• Conor Curtis, Master of Arts in Environmental Policy, Grenfell Campus, Memorial University. His research focused on climate change and social justice. He is now the Digital Communication Coordinator for the Sierra Club Canada Foundation.
• Jen Daniels, Master of Arts in Geography, Memorial University. She investigated the connections between identity, territory and place-based development in Aboriginal communities in central Newfoundland
• Lauren Edens, Master of Arts in Public Affairs, University of Missouri. Lauren worked on the Canadian regional development project.
• Seth Bomangsaan Eledi, Master of Arts in Environmental Policy, Grenfell Campus, Memorial University. He researched environmental stewardship and community development and is now an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Analyst with the United States Air Force.
• Bojan Furst, Master of Arts in Environmental Policy, Grenfell Campus, Memorial University. His research focused on perceptions and policies in small island settings of Change Island and Fogo Islands of Newfoundland compared to Vis and Biševo islands in Croatian Adriatic in an effort to foster the viability of small island communities.
• Matt Grills, Ph.D. in Sociobiology, Memorial University. His work primarily focused on qualitative representations of self and experience in order to better understand the processes undertaken in order to achieve goals by municipal governments and social fields within communities.
• Sharon Halfyard, Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies, Memorial University. Her research analyzed and documented the enormous role teachers played in the rural development of Canada’s newest province during the 1949 to 1980s period of massive development.
• Steve Holisko, Master of Arts in Environmental Policy, Grenfell Campus, Memorial University. His research focused on watershed management in NL.
• Sherine Khattab, Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies, Memorial University. She researched the gender division of employment mobility.
• Patrick Lévêque, Bachelor of Science in Geography, Memorial University. His research looked at land use planning issues in Newfoundland.
• Theresa Lightfoot, Master of Arts in Environmental Policy, Memorial University, researched environmental issues that affect food sovereignty and security for indigenous people.
• Ekaterina Lysenko, Master of Arts in Social and Human Geography, Memorial University. She studied the labour market development in NL.
• Raïsa Mirza, studied for her Master of Arts in Geography at Memorial University. She researched conservation and regional development within the Philippines. She is now the Associate Director of the Community Innovation Fund & Consulting Director, Learning Center at the Tamarack Institute for Community Engagement.
• Fiona Munro, Master of  Resource and Environmental Management, Simon Fraser University. Her research examined how innovative policy and governance towards sustainability are being transferred between resort municipalities within BC.
• Ayotunde Omosule, Master of Arts in Environmental Policy, Grenfell Campus, Memorial University. He researched how Indigenous communities are resolving their water challenges.
• Stephen Parmiter, Bachelor of Science, Memorial University. He is interested in physical geography, Geographic Information Sciences, and rural and cultural studies.
• Erika Parrill, Master of Arts in Environmental Policy, Grenfell Campus, Memorial University. Her research focused on regional fisheries management organizations and small-scale fisheries.
• Robin Pianosi, Master of Arts in Environmental Policy, Grenfell Campus, Memorial University. Her research contextualized Newfoundland’s fisheries’ sustainability policy in the global arena and identified policies to discourage greenhouse gas emissions from the fisheries industry. She is now a Data Analyst with Statistics Canada.
• Nicole Renaud, Master of Arts in Geography, Memorial University. Her research focused on mapping a history of water security in the Peruvian Andes.
• Sanja Schuelke, Master of Arts in Environmental Policy, Grenfell Campus, Memorial University. Her research focused on public environmental expenditure in times of economic downturn with a focus on the European Union.
• Emily Thomas, Master of Arts in Island Studies, University of Prince Edward Island. Her research focused on sustaining island fishing communities.
• Lindey Touzel, Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, Memorial University, Grenfell Campus. She worked on water research projects with the Rural Resilience team.
• Brandon Ward, Master of Arts in Environmental Policy, Grenfell Campus, Memorial University. His research focused on Burgeo resident’s values, attitudes, and beliefs regarding a South Coast National Marine Conservation Area.
• Rashidatu Mohammed Uthman, Master of Arts in Environmental Policy, Grenfell Campus, Memorial University. Her research focused on examining policy options for mining and community sustainability in Newfoundland.
• Kyle White, Bachelor of Arts in Geography, Memorial University. He was a research assistant studying rural innovation in St. Anthony.
