Three February publications by Rural Resilience researchers!

Three research articles were published in February from Rural Resilience researchers. The first article was written by the Entrepreneurialism And Rural/Small Town Local Government project team and focuses on “exploring how small municipalities are using municipal enterprises to generate revenue and assets that may lead to new economic pathways.” Read the article below:

The second article was from the Place-Based Endowments In The Periphery project team. The team conducted semi-structured interviews across regions of Canada and their findings “suggest that, despite
the collective difficulty of adjusting to a “new normal,” Canadian place-based philanthropic organizations remain deeply committed to their service area, with many pivoting to meet the changing needs of rural Canadians and devising innovative strategies to overcome these”.
