Robin graduated with an MA from the Environmental Policy program at Memorial University in 2020. She also holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Ottawa: an Honors BSc with a specialization in Conflict Studies and Human Rights. Robin’s research interests centred around marine issues, with her primary research project aiming to contextualize Newfoundland’s fisheries’ sustainability policy in the global arena and identify policies to discourage greenhouse gas emissions from the fisheries industry. Robin has also been involved in several other research projects in Newfoundland, working with the municipality of Deer Lake on its aging-in-place policy and with Municipalities of Newfoundland and a research team to investigate how water security in rural communities dependent on potable water dispensing units has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
