Rural Resilience Team Presents at Atlantic Canadian Association of Geographers Conference
In October 2014, Joshua Barrett, Michelle Porter, and Janelle Skeard presented at the Atlantic Canadian Association of Geographers Conference held in St. John’s. The conference consisted of presentations from a variety of geographic disciplines; from research in the Arctic to recycling in urban communities. Barrett’s Fostering Rural Revitalization and Regional Collaboration through Philanthropy?, Porter’s Why Recycle?: A social geography of recycling in St. John’s, and Skeard’s Come Hell or High Water: Identity and Resilience in a Mining Town, can be found throughout the website.
