Canadian Regional Development Research Featured in Recent Workshops

On October 15, 2016, in conjunction with the Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation (CRRF) – Rural Policy Learning Commons (RPLC) Annual Conference, a half day national workshop was hosted by Canadian Regional Development (CRD) researchers. This workshop, featuring panelists from the CRD case study regions, addressed policy and practice opportunities and challenges within their respective regions. The workshop also provided an opportunity for researchers, government officials, and community practitioners to be involved in roundtable discussions on the current state of Canadian regional development. A video recording of this workshop, in addition to the presentations of each panelist, can be accessed at http://guelph2016.crrf.ca/conference-presentations/.

From November 15 to 18, the CRD research team is partnering with stakeholders in St. Anthony, NL to host a multi-day workshop to share project findings and discuss the current state of regional development in the Great Northern Peninsula. This event will bring together researchers, government officials, community leaders and residents to share perspectives on opportunities and challenges occurring in their community.
